Visiting Egypt in October
Climate and weather guide
October
Like May, October is considered shoulder season, and you get a great balance between lower visitor numbers and lower temperatures after the peak heat. It’s still hot in Egypt in October, with highs of around 30C in Cairo and up to 35C further south, but it’s far more pleasant for exploring and you get cooler evenings to offset the afternoon heat. Unlike April and May, you don’t risk sandstorms, while the water temperature stays deliciously warm at the Red Sea, around 25-26C.
