We hold an Air Travel Organisers License (ATOL number 9728) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This means that in the unlikely event of our insolvency, any holiday arrangements made with us in conjunction with flights from the U.K. are 100% protected. As a UK based tour operator we are required by law to hold an ATOL licence.
If Rickshaw Travel were to go out of business this licence will protect our customers from losing money or being stranded abroad so the CAA can give refunds to people who can’t travel and arrange for people abroad to fly home.
But be aware, not all air travel arrangements are ATOL protected. If you build a holiday buying flights and accommodation from different suppliers (a DIY holiday), you may not be protected if things go wrong
All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it.
We are also members of Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA number Y0484). This means that in the unlikely event of our insolvency, any land only trips (i.e. where international flights haven’t been booked through us) are 100% protected. This gives you financial protection and access to ABTA’s support and arbitration services. It also means that our business practices follow ABTA’s code of conduct in order that we maintain higher standards and it allows you to travel with confidence.
