South Korea in November
November sees the last of the autumn colour fade and a distinct chill return to the air, particularly in the evenings. It's a quieter month than October, with fewer crowds but still very pleasant daytime temperatures for exploring Seoul's cities, markets and palaces. The hanok villages of Jeonju and Gyeongju, along with Andong's Hahoe Village, are particularly atmospheric now, with autumn leaves settling over traditional rooftops and far fewer visitors than the October peak. Toward the end of the month, the first signs of winter start to appear near Seoraksan and in the northern provinces, and Seoul's Christmas lights and holiday markets begin to switch on in the final week.
