Day 1 – Arrival in Delhi
When you arrive in Delhi, you’ll be collected by your private driver and taken to your comfortable hotel in Central Delhi, near to both the spice markets of Chandi Chowk and the modern bars of Connaught Place. Here, you can catch your breath and rest after your flight or alternatively you can visit some of the local sights by metro as there is a station nearby.
Day 2 – Delhi to Jaipur
Delhi can be quite a shock to the system when you first arrive in India, so early the next morning you’ll be driven to Jaipur (approximately 5 hours). Jaipur is also known as the ‘pink city’ because many of the buildings are painted in pink-orange tones. It’s a jumble of colours, camel carts, elephants, beggars, rickshaws, temples, forts and palaces. You’ll stay in a friendly, family-run hotel with lots of character and Rajasthani style. Enjoy the peace and quiet of your surroundings and cool off with a dip in the hotel pool.

Day 3 – Jaipur city tour
Today you’ll take a private guided tour of this remarkable city, visiting the City Palace, the Observatory and the fairy-tale Palace of the Winds (Hawa Mahal). You will also visit Amber Fort. This ancient citadel made of red sandstone and white marble is perched high on a hilltop overlooking the rocky hills around Jaipur. One of the fort’s highlights is the mirror palace, covered with an intricate mosaic made up of thousands of tiny mirrors.

Along the way, she explains how spices, flavours and nutrition shape Indian home cooking. You’ll pick the ingredients that appeal to you most, and Payal will tailor the cooking to your tastes. Back in the kitchen, you’ll get hands-on preparing several dishes. By the time everything is ready, you’ll be more than ready to sit down and enjoy what you’ve made.
