I fell in love with Borneo on my first adventure when I scaled the awe-inspiring Mount Kinabalu. I just had to go back and see more of this vast island! It’s got so much to offer from its delicious food, to its unique wildlife and jungle experiences, and not to mention its idyllic beaches.

Borneo is an incredible destination and an absolute bucket list must for nature lovers. Seeing wild orangutans up close was genuinely moving, and drifting along the Kinabatangan River with expert local guides brought the rainforest and its wildlife to life. Add to that some of the best beaches I’ve ever seen — white sand, clear blue water and excellent snorkelling — and you’ve got a rare mix of adventure, wildlife and downtime. If you’re looking for all three, Borneo is hard to beat.

Miles

I have always loved wildlife and to see many species in their natural habitat is something that I really get excited about. My time in Borneo was spent exploring the lush green jungle on the Kinabatangan River and visiting the orangutans at Sepilok Orangutan Reserve. It’s a trip that I’ll always remember and I’m just waiting for the chance to return!
