Day 1 – Waterfalls on the way to Lovina
Before arriving in Lovina, you’ll be met by a local driver who will be taking you into the lush hills of north Bali. Your first stop is Sekumpul Waterfall, where you’ll find a collection of powerful falls plunging into the jungle. Take a dip in the pool and cool off after the short walk to get here, before heading off to your next stop in Lemukih. Get ready for an adventure, as you slide down a natural water slide carved into the rocks by the flowing water. Surrounded by dense greenery, its a fun way to immerse yourself in the beautiful natural surroundings and discover a wilder side to Bali.
Next, you’ll arrive at Lovina beach, where you can settle into your cosy resort with a big, tempting swimming pool, just a short walk from all the local attractions as well as the laid-back beach. The sea water temperature is a balmy 27°C, so you can spend your day swimming, lazing in a deckchair or chilling out in one of the beach bars.
Day 2 – Fishing trip
You’ll have most of the day free in Lovina to do as you please. Head down to the beach or laze around by the pool with a tropical fruit shake. In the afternoon you’ll be met at your hotel by a local fisherman. From the beach, you’ll climb into his small fishing boat and sail out to sea. The fisherman does this every day and fishing is his primary income so who better to learn from?
Once you’re in the right position the anchor drops with a splash and the lesson begins. With nothing more than a wire and bait you begin the waiting game. If you’re lucky you might just catch a fish of your own. Even if you didn’t manage to catch any, on your return you’ll head back to your hotel to taste some delicious fresh fish for dinner: Selamat makan!

Dolphin Watching in Bali
Everyday, dozens of small boats head out in search of dolphins in Lovina, however we have animal welfare concerns about these tours, and therefore choose not to promote these experiences. We have learned that many operators crowd and chase the dolphins, disrupting their natural behaviour and causing them stress. At Rickshaw, we believe that wild animals should have the freedom to live freely in their natural habitat, without being harmed or exploited and only support experiences that align with our animal welfare policy.
Day 3 – Departure
Today, you can spend some time lazing in the sunshine before getting ready to leave Lovina and continue on your Bali adventure. Continue onto other beautiful beach locations such as Nusa Lembongan, Sanur, or Amed, or combine temples with nature in Munduk, or get an insight into local village life with a homestay in Tirtagangga.
