My travel bug began the same way as many others – after a backpacking trip around Thailand at the age of 20 (which is still my favourite destination to date). Since then, I’ve been to India, Vietnam, Jamaica, Gambia, Morocco, the USA, and back to Thailand again. I’m very passionate about responsible travel (enough to return to university to study it at master’s level) and I love being creative and sharing ideas – so you can usually find me combining the two and talking about travelling more responsibly on Substack, Instagram or in the Rickshaw office!

Culture
I’m definitely a city person rather than a nature person because I love being where the culture is! I try diving deep into new cultures through food tours and walking tours, and I love spending time getting to know different neighbourhoods in a new city and figuring out which one suits me best. My favourite city outside of the UK is Bangkok (and if you’re curious, my favourite neighbourhoods there are Thonglor and Talat Noi).
Art
I love discovering local creatives, whether that’s artists, musicians, writers, or fashion entrepreneurs. I usually try to do this research before I travel somewhere by diving into books, music and style from that destination – it often leads me somewhere interesting once I arrive and it’s a fun way to immerse myself in the local culture.
Inspiration
I’m someone who loves documenting and sharing my trips through writing, photos and video. Being somewhere completely new is usually where I feel most inspired and most creative. I love people watching from a small cafe and writing down everything I’m seeing and feeling.
