Beach sun

Travelling was a dream of mine since I was child and I have been very fortunate to have now travelled to over 30 countries and I don’t want to stop any time soon. When I first started to travel outside of my comfort zone was when I visited India for the first time and I experienced so much joy in their way of life including stargazing in the desert to cooking lessons in remote towns directly from the farmland belonging to the villagers, and being welcomed into religious festivals and celebrations. This has continued over the years and I have found some of my favourite places in the world that I love to shout about to everyone and encourage them to visit including;
Costa Rica for it’s incredible wildlife, and unique landscape, as well as the less known Caribbean coast and culture.
Mexico for the very best street food in Oaxaca and incredible art and music history in Mexico City.
Colombia for the history and vibrant culture of cities like Medellin and Cartegena, and snorkelling in the clear blue waters of the Rosario Islands.

Talk to me about:

Brazil | Costa Rica | Colombia | Ecuador & Galapagos | Greece | Mexico | Nicaragua | Panama | Peru |

I travel for...

Food

I absolutely love to taste new flavours, and try authentic cuisine, from visiting local food markets to family run restaurants, as well as unique world renowned restaurants. There is nothing more exciting for me than discovering a new snack that I will usually end up living off over the course of my trip (especially for those hunger cravings on a long bus journey) and then end up stocking up my suitcase full of it! Or being blown away by finding an incredible humble home cooked meal that I can learn to cook and recreate the memories once I am home.

Culture

I fell in love with travelling because of the connections I made along the way – whether that be broken conversations shared over chai on a 24 hour Indian sleeper train, dancing with locals and celebrating Carnival in Barranquilla or spending time with a homestay on a traditional Mexican ranch. I love being able to leave a country with more than just memories, but a new perspective, and a greater appreciation for where I visited, and also it makes for some fantastic and interesting stories to share back home.

Scenery

Nothing beats viewing the incredible natural landscapes you will encounter when travelling, from idyllic crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches on the Caribbean coast of Colombia to the breath-taking lush green volcanic regions of Central America. I just love being able to hike, sail, drive (or even paraglide, skydive if needs be!) and find these picture perfect postcards views, and sit with a local beer and take it all in.
