Our Bite-sized Morocco Trips

It might sound clichéd but Marrakech really is an assault on the senses! It’s a colourful, vibrant city full of exotic sights, sounds and smells which you’ll discover over three days. You’ll stay in a traditional riad and learn the secrets behind Moroccan cuisine with a cooking class.

This bite-sized trip ticks off three of Morocco’s historic Imperial cities: Rabat, Meknes and Fez. These ancient cities are rich in history, tradition and culture. Expect maze-like medinas, vibrant souks, majestic architecture and a real sense of stepping back in time.

You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time as you immerse yourself in the enchanting city of Fez. Discover the ancient medina on a walking tour, meet local craftsmen practicing traditional trades and stay in a cosy traditional riad.

The breezy coastal town of Essaouira is home to a bustling fishing port, atmospheric traditional souk, historic ramparts and a wide sweeping beach. Fishing is ingrained in the town’s history and culture, so we have included a guided walk that offers an insight into the life of the local fishermen (and the freshest grilled fish lunch!)

This bite-sized trip combines one night in the desert town of Erfoud with a night under the stars in a simple desert camp amongst the sand dunes. In true Saharan style your mode of transport in and out of the desert will be a camel. Sunrise over the dunes is magical.

This bite-sized trip focuses on the north of Morocco. You’ll spend two nights in the picturesque ‘blue town’ of Chefchaouen, which is tucked into the Rif Mountains, followed by two nights on the coast in the small, charming fishing town of Asilah.

On this bite-sized trip you’ll travel over mountain passes and deep into fertile valleys to discover the ‘Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs’. There will be time to explore the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and trek through the Dades Valley, and you’ll stay overnight in sandstone hotels designed to blend into the surrounding landscape.

If you have limited time in Morocco and want to include an overnight stay in the desert, this bite-sized trip is for you. This 3-night desert experience is easy to combine with Marrakech and can be reduced to two nights if you’re really sort on time.

Tucked away in a hidden palm valley, surrounded by immense red rock formations, is Tafraoute. This secluded oasis boasts pristine natural beauty and is home to hospitable, friendly locals, yet attracts very few tourists. Get a glimpse of local life and the incredible scenery on a guided walk.

During this 3-day trek you will hike with a mountain guide through the incredible scenery of the Atlas Mountains. Along the way you will see shepherds with their goats, and small mountain villages, but very few tourists. You’ll stay overnight in simple mountain hut accommodation.

You don’t need to be a super fit hiker or a hardy camper to enjoy a visit to the Atlas Mountains. This bite-sized trip offers a more comfortable experience in the mountain peaks, staying overnight in a cosy riad. We’ve included a guided trek through the mountains, but it’s a private excursion so you can enjoy the breathtaking views at your own pace.

Visiting Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech”, feels like stepping back in time to Marrakech 50 years ago, without the crowds. The main attraction here is the well-preserved city walls. Wandering through the medina, you’ll immediately soak up the Moroccan atmosphere.

With its golden sand beach and the promise of 300 days of sunshine a year, Agadir is the perfect place to relax, take a dip in the sea and soak up some sun.

At almost 4200m, Mount Toubkal is the highest mountain in northern Africa, so climbing to the summit is no small feat, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience and hugely rewarding.
