Catch a train through tumbling green valleys, wander through vibrant tea hills on a rural hillside trek and wake up to views of the misty mountains and distant waterfalls. Our Ella trip takes you on a journey to Explore the Emerald Valleys of Ella; one of the most picturesque spots in Sri Lanka.
Fall in Love with Yala
If you’re keen to include some wildlife in your Sri Lanka honeymoon, it doesn’t get much better than Yala. On a jeep safari you’ll head out into The Wild Heart of Yala National Park in search of wild grazing elephants, crocodiles on the edge of watering holes and proud peacocks putting on a fine display. Keep an eye out in the undergrowth and you might even catch a glimpse of one of the park’s elusive leopards.
Catch a Magical Sunrise
If you really want to indulge your sense of adventure during your honeymoon, then Adam’s Peak is a climb worth making. Under the cool night sky, you’ll join the pilgrimage as you follow a ribbon of illuminations up into the clouds. It’s a challenging climb, but once you reach the summit, you’ll be rewarded with a magical sunrise over the mountain valleys.
Try a Cosy Beachside Cabana
No Sri Lanka honeymoon would be complete without a stay on one of the island’s beautiful palm-fringed beaches. Head to the quieter coast of Tangalle for some real relaxation, away from the tourist throngs. You’ll stay in a Cosy Cabana at Paradise Beach, set among a green palm grove with views of the Indian Ocean. Alternatively, why not try our ‘In Style’ retreat in nearby Talalla where you can spend your days splashing in the sea, relaxing by the pool or treating yourself to a soothing massage.
