There is something so mysterious about a country that is steeped in such fascinating ancient history and culture and I can’t wait to share my own experiences with you. China is a truly diverse country and if you have the time I would highly recommend taking your time to explore it. From the breathtaking Great Wall to the peaceful rolling rice terraces and quaint hidden villages; there really is so much to discover. My tip would be, don’t miss out on the highlights but also make sure to spend at least a few days out in the countryside to relax and take in the incredible landscapes.

I then travelled by overnight sleeper train and flight to Xi’an and Chengdu to learn all about the cuddly pandas.
