Day 1 – Arrival at Evia

Today you’ll pick up your car and head towards Evia, the second largest island in Greece. Within just an hour’s drive, you’ll find yourself immersed in the authentic charm of this hidden gem, favoured by locals but still relatively unknown to tourists. Crossing over to Evia is a unique experience in itself. You have two options: the fascinating moving bridge or the impressive 700-meter-long suspension bridge, both connecting the island to the mainland. Whichever route you choose, you’ll be greeted by Evia’s captivating landscapes and the promise of genuine Greek hospitality.

Once on Evia, you’ll head to a delightful wine farm, nestled amidst vineyards and fragrant orange trees. Your room is comfortably furnished and has a kitchenette,perfect for preparing light meals. However, the true culinary delight awaits you outdoors, as you fire up the BBQ for a memorable alfresco cooking experience. If you prefer to indulge in the local flavors without the hassle of cooking, a short drive to the capital city of Chalkida presents an array of dining options.

Day 2 – Hiking on Evia

Today you will head out to explore Evia’s green and mountainous landscape, which is surrounded by a glistening turquoise sea and picturesque beaches. Immerse yourself in the beauty of Evia’s diverse landscapes as you hike through its mountains. Along the way, you’ll encounter remnants of Greece’s rich heritage, such as the fascinating archaeological site of Eretria, where ancient Greek history comes to life. Continuing your journey, you’ll have the opportunity to admire the remnants of a Venetian fortress at Fylla, a testament to Evia’s historical significance and the influence of past civilizations. After a day of exploration, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to cool off and unwind at the natural swimming pool of your guesthouse. As the day comes to a close, head to a local tavern and enjoy a Greek salad and ice-cold ouzo under the canopy of the trees.

Day 3 – Departure from Evia

This morning you may be sad to leave, but at least you’ll have the chance to have one more breakfast at your guesthouse, where the owners love to spoil their guests. They bake traditional Greek halloumi and create delicious cakes and pies. From Evia you’ll either travel by land to magical Meteora or to the icy rivers of Peoloponnesos for rafting. Alternatively, head off by sea to Andros, one of the unknown islands in the Cyclades.
