Arrival at Evia
Today you’ll pick up your car and head towards Evia, it’s the second largest island in Greece and is an hour’s drive. Popular among the locals, and less known among tourists, the perfect introduction to authentic Greece. Take the moving bridge to Evia, or drive over the 700m long suspension bridge, which connects Evia to the mainland.

Once on Evia, you can reach your wine farm in about 20 minutes. Surrounded by vineyards and orange trees where many small animals make their home. Your room is comfortably furnished and has a kitchenette. Without a hob, because you cook outside, on the BBQ. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can drive to the capital Chalkida.

Hiking on Evia
Today you will head out and hike on Evia’s green and mountainous landscape which is surrounded by a turquoise sea with pebble and sandy beaches. You will not only find nature, but also culture, from remains of Greek heritage in Eretria or admire parts of a Venetian fortress at Fylla. Later, you can cool off in the natural swimming pool of your guesthouse then head to a local tavern and enjoy a Greek salad and ice-cold ouzo under a canopy of trees.

Departure from Evia
This morning you may be sad to leave but at least you’ll have one more breakfast at your guesthouse where the owners love to spoil their guests. He bakes typical Greek halloumi and she creates traditional delicious cakes and pies. From Evia you’ll either travel by land to Magical Meteora or to the icy rivers of Peoloponnesos for rafting. Alternatively head off by sea to Andros, one of the unknown Cyclades islands.
