Day 1 – Ferry to Naxos, arrival on the island
Today you’ll take to the sea and sail to Naxos, the largest island in the Cyclades, where we’ll arrange a transfer for you to your charming, family run hotel, conveniently situated just south of Naxos town. Within walking distance you will find the most beautiful sandy beaches, which is most people’s main reason to come to Naxos. In the evening, you have a variety of Greek cuisine at your mercy, from the meaty delight of pita gyros, freshly prepared fish or a salad bursting with locally-sourced feta.
Day 2 – Lazing on the beach & hiking in the Cyclades
You’ll have the next couple of days free to do as your please, so after breakfast this morning, put your feet up, relax and unwind on the wide sandy beach that’s just minutes from your hotel. Indulge in a refreshing iced coffee feeling like a Greek God and maybe even treat yourself to a Loukoumadis – a kind of Greek doughnut. The following day, you’ll head out to discover the beauty this island has to offer and take a fulfilling hike. Unlike many other parts of the Cyclades, the interiors of Naxos are lush and rich with vegetation, making it a hiker’s paradise with stunning views throughout. Rent a car and drive into the interior in search of hidden gems nestled within traditional villages, such as Filoti, with its cozy village square and Apiranthos, where backgammon is often played in the street giving it an enchanting ambiance.
Day 3 – Sailing trip to the smaller Cyclades
It’s an early start, but the adventure’s well worth it! Meet in the harbour at 8:20am, hop on a boat togetehr with a small group of international travellers and spend your day exploring the scenic islands around Naxos. Today is all about sun, swim and snorkel. You’ll discover some hidden beaches, splash in the warm azure waters and spot sea life under the water surface. Local snacks and drinks will be provided onboard to help you refuel, and there’s a GoPro on the boat you can borrow to capture the most mesmerising moments!
Day 4 – Departure from Naxos
It is now time to leave Naxos, but that doesn’t mean your time in Greece has to come to an end. If you want to include other islands in your trip, then sail by ferry to Amorgos and its ancient monastery or head to the more touristy, but popular for a reason, Santorini.
