Chalk cliffs and sandy beaches
4-Day Lefkas Beach Experience - Greece
Overview
Lefkas is only a few hours from home, but you may think that you’re lounging on a Caribbean island with its powder-white sandy beaches and clear blue waters. Explore all its beauty in your own rental boat, floating off the coast or cruising over to its sister island, Nidri. Your day-by-day itinerary
Arrival at Lefkas
Today you’ll travel to Lefkas using the floating bridge that connects it to the mainland, with aroma of the fragrant cypress trees and the chirping of the cicadas welcoming you as you arrive. Your studio apartment is just a few short steps from the sea and located in a small village set on idyllic bay with a wide pebble beach and crystal-clear water. There’s nothing planned for the day, so take the evening to simply rest and relax.

Boat trip at Nidri
Today you will be captain for the day, as you’ll have a full day’s motorboat rental, allowing you to explore the island at your own pace. Grab a picnic from the town of Nidri before you set sail, then choose to head to the east of the island to explore bays only accessible by water or island hob to nearby Madouri and Skorpios. As you head back to port, take some time to moor somewhere and enjoy silence of the sea and the beauty of your natural surroundings.

Cape of Lefkatas & drive through the mountains
After a day at sea yesterday, why not stick to solid ground today and take the road to the Cape of Lefkatas, the southernmost tip of the island. On the west of the island, you’ll find some the most beautiful beaches on Lefkas, like Porto Katsiki with its pearly white sand beach and turquoise sea framed by steep white cliffs. End the day taking a look at the lighthouse at Doukato and admiring the view from the 60-meter high cliff it’s perched on.

The next day, it’s time to put your rental car to the test as you drive to Agios Nikitas. It’s a wonderful drive that winds through the mountain passes. With the car windows open, you’ll pass through picturesque villages. There are traditional houses with red stone roof tiles hidden among the verdant forest. Check out the Church of the Prophet Elias and you’ll be treated with a stunning viewpoint that provides you with a sweeping panorama over the island.

Departure from Lefkas
This morning, try and make time for on more dip in the Ionian Sea before you depart, either heading home from the airport at Preveza or continuing to your Greek odyssey.
