Ancient Grottoes and Temples of Datong
3-Day Datong Temple Historic Tour - China
Meander through the UNESCO World Heritage temple and Yungang cave complex near to Datong - a great way to learn about the cultural history of northern China's Shanxi province. You'll walk through the temple structures and caves in the morning, soaking up the serene and tranquil atmosphere. It is quite incredible to wonder at the creation and preservation of these Buddhist structures built on the 5th century. You'll spend two nights in the city of Datong to make sure you get to see the complex at its best in the morning.
