Day 1 – Arrival in Palenque town

You’ll arrive in Palenque town and make your way to your hotel – a comfortable place with a little restaurant and a pool where you can escape the jungle heat. The town itself is fairly modern and not all that exciting, but you’re within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and bars, and you’re not really here to see the town anyway…

Day 2 – Explore the Palenque ruins and cool off in a waterfall

The next morning you’ll be picked up by minibus, and will head to the site with some other travellers. Palenque is home to some of the finest Mayan temples in Mexico, with carvings and sculptures which paint a vivid picture of how the people here once lived, all surrounded by thick jungle. Afterwards, the bus will take you to the beautiful Roberto Barrios waterfalls, where you can cool off before heading back to your hotel.

Day 3 – Continue your journey

We’ll have booked your onward transport to wherever you’re heading next, so this morning it’s time to wave goodbye to Palenque and continue your Mexican adventure.
