Accommodation in Peru

During your trip to Peru you can look forward to some unique, small-scale accommodation; this could be a traditional posada, a small hotel or a local guesthouse personally run by the owners. It could also be a colonial villa, a converted monastery, a finca (farm) or an Amazon jungle lodge. On Lake Titicaca, you can stay in a clay hut on an island in the middle of the lake, an eco lodge in the Sacred Valley, or a basic tent high in the Andes during your Inca Trail trek. We also offer a unique hotel in Cusco, which employs former street kids as their staff.  To help you along the way we have created some categories, described below, so you know what to expect during your stay.

In Style Accommodation – Category 4

A great location and comfort are the most important factors in this category, and this accommodation offers a more boutique feel and quality. The river lodge during the Colca Canyon trip is a good example of our category 4 accommodation. We can upgrade in most places, so please ask your travel specialist about where to add these to your itinerary.

Standard Accommodation – Category 3

This is the category which most of our accommodation falls in to, it offers an inviting atmosphere, local charm and small-scale. A clean, attractive and well-kept posada in a good location is a clear example of our category 3 accommodation.

Basic Accommodation – Category 1

This category is used where you won’t find many accommodation options available, or if you are doing a trek such as the Inca Trail, where you’ll spend three nights camping in a tent with basic facilities – it’s all about the experience of being out there in the wild though, of course. Similarly, during our Lake Titicaca trip, you’ll stay in a simple hut with a local family. Although the facilities are basic, this is a really unique way to experience traditional Peruvian life and it’s an experience that will stay with you forever!
