Accommodation in Bolivia
We go out of our way to find small-scale, authentic accommodation that really reflects the culture and atmosphere of Bolivia. For each of our Bolivia trips, we searched for the most authentic small-scale accommodation available in each area. This could be a traditional posada, a jungle lodge or a family owned guest house. Each accommodation has been handpicked and selected based on a combination of its location, atmosphere and character. We class our Bolivia accommodation into three categories:
Standard Accommodation – Category 3
A warm and inviting atmosphere, cleanliness and a favourable location are our top priorities for this category and this includes most of the accommodation that we offer. It could be a colonial-style hotel, a B&B with a roof terrace in the town centre, or multicultural-style guest house.
Simple Accommodation – Category 2
Quite often in Bolivia there aren’t too many options or the natural surroundings take precedence over the accommodation itself. In this category you can expect a simple family-run guest house, perhaps a converted post office or a jungle lodge owned and managed by a local community project.
Basic Accommodation – Category 1
In this category you’ll be giving up your creature comforts for a completely unique experience. Sleep in a tent under the stars in the Bolivian Pampas with the sounds of nature lulling you to sleep…
