Day 1 – Arrival in Pangandaran
Today you’ll travel by train or private car to Pangandaran. If you travel by private car you’ll stop off at Kampung Naga, a Sundanese mountain village where the locals lead a very traditional way of life. Pangandaran is a friendly little fishing town with black volcanic beaches and a smattering of restaurants, shops and bars. You’ll stay in a friendly hotel with a swimming pool for refreshing dips.
Days 2-3 – Free time & departure
Today, your time is your own. Laze on the beach, lounge by the pool, and soak up the Javan sunshine. If you’re feeling energetic, you could visit Green Canyon, a spectacular canyon formation. If you’re after a glimpse into the local culture, visit a ‘home factory’ producing sugar or krupuk (prawn crackers) run by local families.
The next day you’ll jump in your private car or hop back on the train for your journey onwards.
