Arrival in Tetebatu

Today you’ll travel to Tetebatu, a small village nestled at the foot of Rinjani volcano surrounded by green rice paddies. Hike to two waterfalls that come crashing down the south side of Rinjani into the green valley below. It’s a strenuous hike, but there’s a refreshing reward at the end. In Tetebatu you’ll stay in a small cottage amidst the rice paddies surrounded by tall, waving trees.

Sasak tour & Departure

This morning, you’ll visit a handful of traditional craft villages and get a glimpse in rural Lombok life. Travel on foot along the rims of the rice paddies, by cidomo (horse and cart) and by car to a small community where you’ll see the women and children weaving colourful rugs. You’ll have lunch with the local guide who will show you around the village.

The next day you’ll gather your things and get ready to hit the road again.

“From the moment I first stepped off the plane, I was swept away by Indonesia’s charm and beauty- so much so, that I’ve since lost count of how many times I’ve been! It’s got beaches, cultural wonders, wildlife & warm weather. What’s not to love?”
