Discover the exotic extravagance of Rajasthan, from floating palaces to golden desert forts. Beginning In Delhi, you’ll visit the majestic Taj Mahal before diving into royal Rajasthan, packed with shimmering saris, street food stalls and ornate palaces. Listen to pilgrims singing on the ghats of sacred Pushkar, explore the village of Barli by ox cart, and recharge your batteries with a stay in the quaint village of Narlai. You’ll also have time to explore the bazaars of the Blue City and stare out from your boat at Udaipur Lake palace. It’s an itinerary filled with atmosphere and a fairytale tint.

Your day-by-day itinerary
Arrival in Delhi
When you arrive in Delhi, you’ll be collected from the airport and transferred to your comfortable central hotel, near to both the ancient spice bazaars of Chandi Chowk and the modern glitz of Connaught Place.
Onward transfers
The following day, you’ll be taken to the station by private transfer where you’ll catch the day train to Agra (approx. 2 hours). On arrival into Agra, you’ll be collected and transferred to you hotel.
Sunrise at the Taj Mahal
Visit mystical monkey temples and ghost cities en route to sunrise at the Taj Mahal. A real wonder of the world, it’s a building that will take your breath away. India’s Golden Triangle is the stuff of legend, with the ethereal Taj Mahal at its pinnacle. This trip will take you to Agra, where you’ll watch dawn break over the Taj Mahal.
Jaipur - City Tour & Amber Fort Visit
Today, you’ll be transferred to the Pink City of Jaipur, where you’ll stay in a boutique, family-run hotel. The next day you’ll take a guided tour of this remarkable city, visiting the City Palace, the Observatory and the fairy-tale Palace of the Winds (Hawa Mahal). In the afternoon, you’ll visit Amber Fort before heading back to central Jaipur which is jumble of colours, camel carts, elephants, rickshaws, temples, forts and palaces.
Onward transfers
Today, you’ll leave Jaipur and head for Pushkar, a journey of about 3 hours.
Ox Carts and a Majestic Fort
Far away from the bustling cities we’ve found a haven of peace, the small village of Barli, well known for its Fort. Fort Barli has now been converted into a renowned heritage hotel, and is a must-stop on your India trip. We’ll arrange for you to explore this historical village by ox cart. You’ll pass craftsmen at work, visit a temple and also stop by to visit a local family their home.
Onward transfers
It’s then time to hit the road again and head to your next stop, Jodhpur, a 3.5-hour drive away.
Relaxing in Rural Rajasthan
Rajasthan is well-known for its bustling cities, however, nestled between these popular stops we’ve found a small, oasis of calm. Narlai is a small village with authentic accommodation where you can take it easy and charge your batteries during your Rajasthan trip. The accommodation here offers a real flavour of India.
Onward transfers
After breakfast, it’s time to hit the road again and continue onto Udaipur 2.5-hours away.
