Brazil Wildlife Holidays

Brazil is home to some of the most-famous wildlife in the world. From piranha-fishing to caiman-spotting in the Amazon rainforest, Brazil has plenty to offer wildlife enthusiasts. So if you’re after a bit of animal spotting during your travels then Brazil is the place for you.

Wildlife spotting in the Amazon

No trip to Brazil would be complete without visiting the mighty Amazon, the largest and most species-rich stretch of tropical rainforest in the world. During your time here you will fish for piranha, go trekking through the jungle in search of wildlife and canoe down the river to spot some caimans. You will be sleeping in a riverside lodge, where you can fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle.

Experience the outback in the Pantanal Wetlands

The Pantanal Wetlands is a natural habitat half the size of France, which has the highest density of wildlife in the whole of the American continent. Explore the caves, creeks, waterfalls and crystal clear rivers excellent for snorkelling in. In this area you will also find many cattle farms, and you can go on a horseback ride through the Pantanal and experience the cowboy way of life.

Explore coral reefs and shipwrecks

The coral reefs and shipwrecks in the waters of the Fernando de Noronha archipelago are home to dolphins, sharks, stingrays, barracudas, sea turtles and moray eels. On top of this you also have the opportunity to spot endless colourful, tropical fish swimming in these waters. If diving isn’t your thing, you can still take a sailing trip to dolphin bay where hundreds of bottlenose dolphins appear at the same time each day to hunt for fish – all year long!
