Honeymoon in Brazil
Wander through cobbled streets of colonial towns, relax on exotic, palm-fringed beaches, trek through the mighty Amazon, watch turtles emerge from the lapping waves to lay their eggs and take a boat trip to Iguazu’s thundering falls. If you want something a bit different from your honeymoon then Brazil is a great choice.
Mountains, Beaches and Cuisine
Rio de Janeiro is a world-famous city of sweeping beaches, dramatic landscapes and streets packed with great places to pick up some tasty treats to try. The perfect place to find your feet and start your honeymoon in style.
The mighty Amazon Rainforest lies in the north of Brazil, teeming with wildlife to spot and dense jungle to trek through. For an alternative honeymoon experience head out on to the river on a traditional clipper, spot monkeys swinging through the jungle and fall asleep to the gentle lapping of the water.
Of course honeymoons are also about kicking back and relaxing for a few days with a good book and a caipirinha cocktail. The North-East coast of Brazil offers wide windswept beaches, dotted with palm trees and small fishing villages. One of our favourites is Itacimirim, here you can do as little as you please – take a swim, stroll along the white sand or visit the local turtle project.
Drive the Coconut Highway
If you fancy exploring Brazil at your own pace during your honeymoon then a self-drive up the Coconut Highway is perfect for you. Visiting paradise beaches and small fishing villages along the way you can get off the usual tourist trail and experience the real Brazil.
