Ao Nang Thailand

5 Good reasons to travel to Thailand

1 – Genuine connection

Thailand’s famous reputation as “the Land of Smiles” isn’t marketing, it’s real. Our trips put you in homestays with local families, cooking classes led by grandmothers who’ve been making the same curry for 40 years, and villages where tourists are actually rare. You’ll learn more about Thai hospitality in three days with a local family than a week in a resort ever could.

2 – Food so good, dinner will never be the same again

Street food in Bangkok, market stalls in Chiang Mai, sitting on a plastic stool eating noodles at 11pm while people yell orders at each other around you, it’s genuinely brilliant and it’s cheap and our guides know the spots where locals actually eat, not the ones that made it into guidebooks. You’ll find yourself craving pad thai at 2am three months after you get home in a way that catches you off guard.

3 – Cultural encounters

Yes, Thailand does get very crowded, and temples can be packed during high season. But there are still quiet temple courtyards where monks meditate, villages where you’re genuinely welcome rather than tolerated, festivals that aren’t staged for tourists but where you happen to show up. It takes knowing where to go and when and that’s what we’re good at – genuine expertise from specialists who have travelled extensively in Thailand.

4 – Variety of experiences

Misty mountains in the north where you trek through jungle and stay with hill tribes, chaotic brilliant Bangkok where you can eat at a Michelin-starred restaurant and then sit in traffic with a monk on a motorbike, dense jungle waterfalls where you’re swimming in pools that feel untouched, empty beaches with longtail boats still outnumbering jet skis. Most people bounce around four different countries to get this mix and Thailand has it all in one place, which means you can do completely different things every day and they’ll genuinely feel different.

5 – Knowing the money you spend is going to a good place

Small hotels instead of chains, local guides instead of hired hands, family-run guesthouses where the owner remembers your name. It matters where you stay and who you travel with and we’ve built actual relationships with people over fifteen years, so when you book with us your money goes to people we know and trust rather than to faceless hotel corporations that won’t remember you existed. That’s just how we think travel should work.
