Day 1 – Arrival in Baños
Arriving in Baños, you’ll settle into your cosy, locally-run hotel near the centre of town, and the rest of the day is free to relax and explore. There are plenty of options around for places to eat and drink and afterwards you can relax in the central Plaza Mayor and watch the world go by. Due to the altitude, the climate here usually has a fresh, spring-like feel to it.
Day 2 – Into the countryside
After breakfast this morning, you’ll pick up your mountain bikes and a route map, and set off on a ride through the stunning highland countryside. It’s around 20km, but mostly on quiet roads and downhill, so very manageable. Your route map will include info and tips on good places to stop, where to see the best waterfalls and even short hikes you can do.
You’ll head back to town by truck once you’ve reached the finish, and we’d recommend visiting one of the local hot natural baths in the early evening to soothe your muscles. The rest of the evening is free to enjoy your last night in Baños.
Cycling not for you? Have a chat with your Travel Specialist about alternatives, or we can leave your time here free to organise an adventure activity locally, such as canyoning, rafting, and zip-lining!

Day 3 – Continue your journey through Ecuador
