Getting to Laos
To get to Laos you’ll always need to go via another Asian destination as there are no flights direct from the UK. You can either fly via another Asian city, or combine your trip to Laos with Thailand or Cambodia and travel overland.

Flying to Laos
There are not many airlines that allow you to fly to Laos straight from the UK, even with a change, so quite often we may suggest that you fly into Bangkok, Thailand. There is a large choice of airlines that operate flights to Bangkok, and this usually also means a better value ticket. Flights to Laos (Vientiane) can start from around £700 per person including taxes and fuel surcharges. In high season flight prices are often higher, so it’s always best to book as far in advance as possible to ensure the lowest fare. Please note we only arrange flights to Laos in combination with your land arrangements

Travelling to Laos Overland
There are a few ways to get to Laos without flying in. You can travel overland from Thailand with our Northern Mountain Trail trip which takes you through remote hill-tribe villages along the way or if you fancy something a bit different you can chug up the Mekong River taking in the sweeping views as you go with our Cruising the Mekong to Laos trip. If you are also visiting Cambodia during your trip then our Mekong, Dolphins and Laos trip offers you the chance to see some of the more undeveloped area and get a real feel for life on the river.
