Discover Ometepe Island

As well as lake-side beaches and clear waters, Ometepe Island is home to two volcanoes and some impressive waterfalls. Take a hike to the San Ramon Waterfall, or try the tough trek up the volcano.

Search for birds of paradise with a hike through Nicaragua’s wild north. This Nature Reserve has it all: cloud forests, mountains and even the shy but beautiful quetzal bird.

The colonial charm of León
