Day 1 – Arrival in Kintamani

Leaving the hustle and bustle of the south behind, you’ll head into the mountains of Kintamani. As you get higher, the scenery transforms from lush rice fields into dramatic volcanic landscapes with cooler air. Later in the afternoon, you’ll arrive at your glamping spot, where you’ll find a simple, but comfortable tent with everything you need for a relaxing night surrounded by wide-open mountain views. Grab a blanket and enjoy the sunset from your terrace and watch as the sky is slowly filled with stars.

Day 2 – Hot springs and free time

After a quiet morning, and a delicious breakfast with a view, you’ll be collected and taken to the nearby hot springs just a short drive away. The mineral-rich water, naturally heated by Mount Batur, flows into open-air pools at the edge of Lake Batur. Soak and unwind in the warm waters and breathe in the fresh mountain air, with misty peaks all around you. The rest of your day is free for you to spend as you wish, settle into a cosy café overlooking Lake Batur and enjoy a cup of locally grown Arabica coffee, or take a walk through the nearby villages and get a glimpse into everyday life in Kintamani.

If you prefer exploring landscapes on two wheels, we can arrange for you to go on a mountain bike tour through Kintamani, passing lush green rice fields, local villages, and vast lava fields. Speak to your travel specialist for more information.

Day 3 – Departure from Kintamani

End your stay in Kintamani with a magical sunrise over Mount Batur. Set your alarm early and step out onto your terrace for a dramatic light show above. Watch as the sky slowly changes from deep blue to soft pinks and golds, lighting up Mount Batur and the black lava fields below. It is an iconic sight in Bali, however the weather up here can be changeable and sometimes the volcano can be partially or fully hidden in the clouds. Even so, there’s something special about the stillness and cool mountain air, making it a memorable experience either way.
