Day 1 – Arrival in Victoria

Today, you’ll make your way over to Victoria on Vancouver Island – a quaint and easy-going city that’s usually a hit with families of all ages. With its strong British heritage, high-tea is a firm favourite here, and a nice way to refresh yourselves after a long journey.  Your comfy hotel is well-located for the city’s main sites, though we’d recommend getting an early night so you’re all fresh and ready for tomorrow’s excitement!

Day 2 – Whale-watching

It’s just a short walk to the harbour this morning for the start of your whale watching adventure. You’ll head out in a large covered boat, suitable for children as young as 3. Three different species of whale are found in this region, so it’s the perfect spot to see these gentle giants. If you’re lucky you might even spot a ‘superpod’. Regardless of how many you see, it’s an experience that all the family are sure to love!

Arriving back around lunchtime, you’re in the perfect spot to go for some lunch in one of the many outdoor cafes nearby. Or why not take the short drive to the stunning Butchart Botanical Gardens for a relaxing picnic.

Day 3 – Departing Victoria

Today, it’s time to say goodbye to the relaxed charms of Victoria. Taking your whale-watching memories with you, you can pack in some more wildlife watching in the stunning Pacific Rim National Park near Tofino (on the west of the island) or head further up the east coast to Quadra Island. Alternatively, you could travel back to the mainland and cosmopolitan Vancouver.
