Arrival in Manuel Antonio
As you approach your hotel up a winding road you’ll spot the glistening blue ocean below. You’ll stay at a hill-top villa resort with a pool and ocean views. Settle in, relax in your hammock or head out for sunset cocktails at one of the many bars dotted along the road. There are plenty of choices when it comes to eating and drinking here – most with ocean vistas!
Visit to animal sanctuary & departure
Today you will head away from the coast to visit a sanctuary for injured and rescued animals. The volunteers, biologists and vets on site are dedicated to each animal’s care and they will give you an insight into the issues they face today. You will also learn about some of the wider initiatives they have rolled out along the Pacific Coast, like rope bridges to allow animals to safety cross the roads winding through the forests.
The rest of the day is free for you to do as you please. Take a stroll through the National Park or kick back on one of the many sandy beaches. The following day you’ll depart Manuel Antonio for your next destination. The park is closed on Mondays so you might like to add an extra day to explore.
