Arrival in Samara

Day 1

Arrival in Samara

On arrival in Samara you’ll check in to your cosy hotel only minutes from the beach. You’ll be grateful for the air-conditioned rooms and the swimming pool. In the village of Samara you’ll find a few restaurants and bars, but not much more than that. Prop up your feet, grab a good book and a tropical cocktail and just ease in to the relaxed pace of life here. When in Rome!

Days 2-3

Kayaking & departure

Today you’ll be collected from your hotel along with a small group to drive to the starting point of your excursion. After a briefing you’ll hop in your kayak to paddle over to Isla Chora. Here you’ll find an uninhabited white sand beach, the perfect spot for snorkelling off the beach and spotting the multi-coloured tropical fish darting past your mask. After a buffet of fresh local fruits you’ll kayak back to the mainland. The following day your beach stay comes to an end and you’ll head off to your next destination in Costa Rica.

If you choose this option you’ll stay in one of only 8 rooms in a small scale lodge just a few minutes walk from the beach and Samara village. As there are so few rooms, we recommend booking well in advance to avoid disappointment. At night you can hear the hundreds of sounds of the jungle and the roar of the sea.
