    Day 1 – Arrival in Kampot

    Today you’ll travel to sleepy Kampot, with it’s laid-back charm and riverside location, it’s the perfect place to relax for a couple of days. You’ll stay in a beautifully restored colonial townhouse in the heart of Kampot, just a short stroll from the riverfront, cafes and restaurants. Once you’re settled into your hotel, you can amble along the promenade, watch local life unfold on the water and enjoy views of the Elephant Mountains rising in the distance.

    Day 2 – Explore Kampot province

    This morning you’ll set out with your local guide to learn all about the area surrounding Kampot town, from pre-Angkorian caves and small mountain wells, used for worship by local people to pepper plantations and sea salt fields – Kampot has lots of discover. Along the way, you’ll get a glimpse into everyday Cambodian life, passing local villages and seeing children playing around the caves, far from the main tourist trail.

    Later, you’ll head back to Kampot itself, where charming buildings line the streets. Visit the bustling local fish market and learn more about the region’s famous durian fruit before stopping for lunch by the river. If the Cambodian heat gets a little too much, you’ll have a chance to cool off with a refreshing dip in the water.

    Day 3 – Departure

    It’s time to say goodbye to laid-back Kampot and travel on to the next destination on your Cambodian adventure. You can continue onto the coastal village of Kep to sample crab at the local market, or head to the tropical island of Koh Rong. Looking for something a little more active? From Kampot, you can easily travel to the Cardamom Mountains, where you can trek through the jungle and spend the night in an ecolodge.
