Working at Rickshaw Travel
Junior Travel Sales Specialist
We’re on the lookout for a passionate Junior Travel Sales Specialist who is eager to learn and grow into someone able to inspire and create responsible holidays worldwide. If you’ve got a lust for travel and a passion for learning sales, then we’re excited to hear from you.
This is a great opportunity to join a business with huge growth potential. We’re a Brighton-based travel company who believe that good things happen when we travel. This means that everyone can benefit from travel whether it is local communities, travellers, our team or the environment.

What’s the Role?
As a Junior Travel Sales Specialist you’ll be the point of contact for the entire customer journey and therefore the face of the company; from building their perfect trip based on their travel Wishlist, to liaising with our local partners, to keeping in touch with the customer from the time they book to when they return.
During your training period, you’ll learn to identify the wants and needs of our customers, developing the skills to propose exciting and feasible solutions that align with their preferences. While you’ll have personal and company targets to meet, you’ll receive guidance and support as you work towards achieving them. As you grow in your role, you’ll gain the ability to think commercially, identifying opportunities to enhance both your own growth and that of the destinations we serve.
Our Travel Sales Specialists take ownership of managing their own destination and personal performance, using your initiative to find solutions and contribute towards a positive team dynamic. You’ll also work alongside the rest of the team to develop the destination, develop the product, share your insights on competition and client feedback, whilst having the opportunity to contribute directly to website and marketing content. Plus, have your say in helping to grow and develop the business. Not just your average sales role, eh?
This is a 4 or 5 day per week role with 4 days from our office in Brighton.
What have you got?
- You’ve travelled or holidayed to 2 or more of our destinations and you can’t wait to inspire others with your knowledge
- You’re keen to gain an understanding of what providing exceptional customer service requires.
- You show initiative by taking on new tasks, asking questions, and seeking opportunities to contribute, even as you’re learning the ropes.
- You’ve got excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You’re good at multi-tasking, prioritising, and working smarter.
- You’ve got bags of enthusiasm. Even on a Monday.
- You are driven to succeed, develop, grow and believe in why you do what you do.

What’s in it for you?
- You’ll have the opportunity to develop in an exciting and challenging role alongside a loyal and engaged team.
- We are flexible so full-time or 4 days per week from the office, or hybrid, as long as we get to see you in real life 4 days per week.
- A competitive salary based on experience, and annual performance-based bonus
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
- Private medical insurance and other insurance benefits
- Opportunity to travel and work with our Dutch parent company

Life at Rickshaw
Working at Rickshaw Travel is not your typical job. Oh no. We’re all about making the world a more meaningful place by living and breathing our values. We’re transparent and open, friendly and informal. We value each individual and you’ll be encouraged to challenge yourself and do things differently whilst working alongside a team of like-minded travellers who care about supporting each other.
It doesn’t matter what you look like, where you come from, who you’re in (or not in) a relationship with, or much else about your personal life for that matter. Equal opportunities matter to us, and how you embody our values, whether you have the drive and passion to make an impact, and whether you’re proactive enough to take responsibility for your own development. That’s the Rickshaw way!
