Day 1 – Arrival Florence

Upon arriving in the ancient embrace of Florence, you’ll be immediately enveloped by an atmosphere steeped in history and grandeur. During the golden era of the Renaissance, wealthy Italian patrons and visionary artists converged here, crafting a cityscape adorned with wide boulevards, expansive squares adorned with majestic palazzi, and artistry that transcended generations. You will sleep in a character-rich hotel in the heart of Florence, just a few minutes’ walk from the cathedral square. The garden of the hotel is a peaceful place if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city.

Day 2 – See and taste real Florence

Start your day early the following morning and set off for the “Mercato Centrale”. It’s the city’s largest, most lively and colourful grocery market that’s filled with deliciousness! Led by a seasoned chef, you will learn about the the Tuscan food heritage and wander through the bustling market to pick out the tastiest ingredients to prepare your meal. Groceries in hand, you’ll take a short walk to the cooking class facility, a delightful location which will make you feel at home. Aprons on, following your chef’s skilled instructions and learn how to prepare exquisite traditional dishes, before sitting down with a good glass of Chianti wine to relish your very own Tuscan meal. At the end of the experience you will receive a full recipe booklet to share the recipes you learned with your friends and family at home. You’ll be so full of these delicious treat that you’ll have to roll back to the hotel.

Day 3 – Departure from Florence

Rise early again today and enjoy another morning cappuccino in a quiet square. Afterwards, you’ll be back on the road and on your way to next destination. Whether you travel to the Chainti wine region in Umbria or to make pasta with di mamma in Pietralunga, a wonderful adventure awaits you.

The next day, a cooking class is scheduled. After a delicious breakfast, you’ll head to the meeting point at Piazza della Repubblica. Here, you’ll meet the chef and first venture to the market to purchase seasonal ingredients. After a short walk, you’ll arrive at the cooking school. Together, you’ll prepare a three-course menu, featuring handmade pasta and a local dessert, of course. Once everything is ready, it’s time to sit down and enjoy your homemade dishes with a glass of wine for lunch.
