Day 1 – Arrival into Khanom
On the first day you will arrive into Khanom which is easily accessible from all areas of Thailand. You can take the overnight train from Bangkok or fly into Surat Thani from Bangkok, Phuket or Chiang Mai. You can also visit Khanom after our Giant Trees and Lakes of Khao Sok trip if you are looking for some adventure before you relax on the coast. For the next two days you will stay in a Thai-style resort with a pool overlooking the sea.
Day 2 – Free time in Khanom
There’s nothing planned for today, so you can kick back and relax with a good book or take the hotel’s shuttle into town, about 10 minutes away by car. Take a morning stroll along the main beach and grab a bite to eat from a market stall, then explore inland and visit some of the waterfalls and temples tucked away in the hills. As the sun sets, enjoy a refreshing drink by the water and soak up the laid-back, peaceful charm of Khanom.
Khanom is one of the few places in Thailand where you can spot rare pink dolphins(Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins), known for their pale pink colour and often spotted along the shore. While dolphin-spotting tours take place in Khanom, we choose not to offer these, in an attempt to protect these animals from disturbance and make sure they can continue to thrive in their natural habitat.
Day 3 – Departure from Khanom
It’s the end of this Thailand beach trip and today after breakfast you will check out and travel on to your next destination.
