Vietnam was a fantastic adventure that amazed me at every corner. The busy streets of Hanoi and the delicious smells of street food were so exciting. Cruising in Bai Tu Long Bay was like entering a magical world with tall cliffs. Hoi An’s lantern-lit nights and old charm felt like going back in time, and Ho Chi Minh City was full of lively energy. Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels showed me Vietnam’s history, and the friendly smiles of the people made me feel at home. From tasty pho to beautiful landscapes, Vietnam captured my heart in a special way.

Vietnam is a wonderfully diverse country and it’s almost impossible to pick a highlight, as the entire region offers spectacular experiences, dramatic scenery, and some of the warmest, friendliest people.

One of the best experiences that my customers love is staying in the heart of the Mekong Delta, where you are fortunate enough to spend time with a local family that welcomes you with such broad smiles and warm hearts. People also tend to really enjoy Hoi An, especially with the beach so close to the Old Town. I would recommend spending the morning getting measured up at one of the tailors before heading off for a swim and a snorkel during the midday heat. Hoi An is so beautiful in the evening too, with lanterns lining the streets and there are some amazing places to stop for dinner.

Whatever you’re after from your time away, you’ll be sure to find it in Vietnam.

If you want a holiday of a lifetime then I think Vietnam has to be your pick.  The country is so diverse, from the buzzing cities to the serenity of the countryside, and the food is incredible.

Whenever I head away, I like to try and live like a local so one of my favourite things to do was to start the morning with a Vietnamese coffee at a roadside cafe, watching the locals as they go about their day, before heading out to explore myself.

Some of the other highlights from my time in Vietnam are when I kayaked around the amazing limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay and cycled around the ancient streets of Hanoi; I just loved being on the move and never knowing what may be round each corner!
