Day 1 – Arrival in Pulau Redang

Your journey to the island paradise of Pulau Redang starts with a boat ride of around one and a half hours from either Kuala Terengganu or Merang. Once on the island, you will arrive at your small resort on the beach, where you can relax by the pool or take a dip in the warm waters just steps away from your room. There is no ATM on Pulau Redang, so make sure you bring plenty of cash for your stay here, although some resorts will accept credit cards.

Pulau Redang is part of a group of islands designated as a protected marine park, which means there are strict rules around the marine life, fishing and ecosystems. The island is a nesting site for endangered green and hawksbill turtles, both of which are highly protected. Hatchlings are monitored at various turtle sanctuaries, some of which can be visited by the public. The best time to visit the sanctuaries on Pulau Redang is during the months of June and July, when most turtles lay their eggs on the beach.

Day 2 – Snorkelling tour

Today, we will arrange for you to head out on a snorkelling tour, exploring some of the island’s most vibrant underwater spots. Pulau Redang is home to some of Malaysia’s most vibrant coral reefs and marine life, and thanks to its protected status, every effort is being made to keep this underwater world thriving. After your tour, enjoy the rest of your afternoon lazing around on the sands and eating a delicious local dinner at your hotel, or one of the beach restaurants nearby.

Day 3 – Free time on Pulau Redang

This day is free for you to spend as you wish, relax on the powdery white sands, or visit the on-site dive centre to book another snorkelling tour and explore a different area of the island. If you’d rather stay above the water, you can arrange an island-hopping tour to discover even more beautiful inlets within the marine park, or take a scenic jungle walk and spot wildlife such as monitor lizards, monkeys and hornbills.

Day 4 – Departure from Pulau Redang

Today, you’ll say goodbye to your island paradise and return to the port in Kuala Terengganu or Merang. From Kuala Terengganu, you can take a domestic flight to Kuala Lumpur or continue your journey along the coast. If you’d like to extend your stay in Pulau Redang, we can arrange this for you.
