With easy drive times from Jaipur (around 2–3 hours) and Delhi (around 4–5 hours), Sariska National Park slots easily into a North India itinerary without adding long travel days.

Day 1 – Arrival in Sariska National Park
Spread across 800 sq km, Sariska National Park is home to an impressive mix of wildlife, from herds of deer and troops of monkeys to striped hyenas, jackals and wild boar. Thanks to India’s tiger conservation project, the park also supports a growing population of Bengal Tigers. Beyond the wildlife, the park has a hint of history, with ancient Shiva temples and the Kanokwari fort waiting to be explored.
Today you’ll travel by private car from Delhi or Jaipur to your lodge near Sariska. You’ll stay in a comfortable, rustic lodge that’s tucked away on the edge of the reserve. The cottages are spacious and air-conditioned with private verandas that look out onto the surrounding scrub and hills. The vibe here is relaxed and welcoming and the food is home-cooked and hearty.
After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and enjoy the surroundings. Take a short nature walk, relax by the pool or, depending on your arrival time, you can also visit one of the nearby temples.
Day 2 – Wildlife spotting in Sariska National Park
You’ll start early this morning for your first jeep safari, heading into the park as it wakes up. This is one of the best times to spot wildlife, with animals gathering around water sources and the forest at its most active. Keep your eyes peeled for tigers, as well as deer, langur monkeys and birdlife.
After returning to your lodge for breakfast and some downtime, you’ll head out again in the afternoon for your second safari. The light softens, the landscape changes colour, and you’ll experience a different side of the park — whether that’s more wildlife or the atmospheric ruins hidden among the trees.
The next day you’ll depart Sariska and continue your Indian adventure.
