Jungle Adventures in the Cardamom Mountains - Overnight trekking
Looking for a unique experience in the Cardamom mountains? For true adventurers, this trip is a real gem. You’ll head off on a unique trek of about 10 to 12 kilometres, walking at a comfortable pace through the mountains. At night, you’ll sleep right in the heart of nature—in a hammock!
In the afternoon, you’ll reach the camp where you’ll spend the night. It’s definitely a simple setup, but we think it’s the ultimate way to experience nature. Once you’ve hung up your hammock, you’ll head to a clearing in the forest, where you’ll also find a large pond. The Cardamom Mountains are home to wildlife like tigers and Siamese crocodiles. Don’t get your hopes up, though—they’re quite elusive and tend to stay hidden. You’re more likely to spot an elephant here! At night, as you lie in your hammock under a mosquito net, you’ll hear the sounds of the jungle and birds singing around you. The next morning, you’ll head back to the clearing for breakfast before making your way back to the village of Chi Phat.
