Day 1 – Arrival into Olinda
Upon your arrival you’ll be collected from the airport in Recife and driven the 30 minutes to your traditional accommodation. The picturesque streets of Olinda are perfect for a walk in the sun. Just outside your pousada you’ll see cobbled streets lined with 17th century pastel-coloured houses. Don’t forget to stop off at the Franciscan Monastery, its ceilings are covered with colourful frescos.
Day 2 – Walking tour, and free time to explore
You’ll spend two nights in a locally owned pousada with a swimming pool, pretty garden and a lovely restaurant to sample some local cuisine. During your time here you’ll take a tour on foot with a local guide, learning about the town’s love affair with Carnival and fascinating past, as well as visiting its most beautiful buildings. Your evenings are free to explore the various restaurants and bars, and take in the relaxed atmosphere of this little coastal gem.
Day 3 – Departure from Olinda
After breakfast on day 3, you’ll check out of your pousada and continue on to the next stop on your Brazilian adventure.
