Damai tropical beach Sarawak Malaysia

Day 1 – Arrival at Damai Beach

Today we’ll arrange a transfer to take you the short distance from Kuching to Damai Beach: a laid-back stretch of golden sand backed by rainforest and the Santubong mountains. You’ll be staying in a comfortable, tranquil resort with sea views, that’s close to Damai Beach. Time to kick back and relax. Your afternoon is free to do as you please – relax by the pool, take a dip in the sea and watch the sunset. If you fancy a stroll then there is a little village nearby where you can pick up some local food.

Day 2 – Wildlife spotting cruise

Your morning is free for you to relax.

In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to the river edge to board a boat and cruise down the Santubong River where Irrawaddy dolphins are often sighted. From there you’ll cruise the mangrove-lined rivers and estuaries looking for wildlife, including proboscis monkeys. Groups of these unusual looking monkeys are often seen along the river’s edge. As the light fades, you’ll look out for fireflies and crocodiles. In the night light, you’ll often be able to spot bright croc’s eyes looking back at you. You’ll also get to admire the sight of the fireflies lighting up the sky, before being transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3 – Departure from Damai beach

It’s time to leave the beach behind, and we’ll arrange a transfer onto to your next destination.
