Family adventures in Peru | Kausik Ray

Blog

We always encourage our customers (fondly know as Ramblers) to contribute travel tales to our blog on their return, and in this post we’re pleased to introduce, Kausik and his family who journeyed to Peru, travelling from the beating heart of the Inca Empire in Cusco to the misty peaks of Machu Picchu.

Cusco

The journey began in Cusco where Kausik and his family had the chance to explore the City’s colonial architecture and historical highlights as well as an array of museums, churches and bustling markets, meeting plenty of friendly locals (and llamas!) along the way.

Next, their Peru adventure took them to the Sacred Valley.

Machu Picchu

During their Sacred Valley trip, the family took an excursion through the Inca ruins, Indian markets, a llama farm, and an ancient hill fort before continuing their Peru travels to the next destination: the famous Machu Picchu.

With an early start, they caught the first bus up to the incredible ruins of Machu Picchu.

Once the morning mist had lifted, they had the entire morning to wander around the ruins.

After soaking up the mysticism of Machu Picchu the family embarked on the final leg of their Peru holiday back to Cusco.

It was here that they spent the final night before heading home with plenty of awesome memories of their Peru adventure, not to mention some wonderful pictures!
