Swaying Palms of Mui Ne
4-Day Mui Ne Beach Break - Vietnam
Overview
Mui Ne is known for epic sand dunes, kite-surfing and long stretches of sandy beaches and it’s an easy way to swap the city mayhem for a few days of blissful barefoot living. Just four hours from hectic Ho Chi Minh, it’s a great escape. You can take a yoga lesson at your boutique eco-resort, try your hand at kite-surfing or snooze in the shade of a swaying palm tree. It’s somewhere to melt into a sun lounger and leave your troubles behind. The food is tasty, the vibe is friendly and if you're up early then the sunrise is spectacular.

Arrival in Mui Ne
You’ll make your way to the train station in Ho Chi Minh and head off on the tracks for Phan Thiet. It’s only a 4hr journey and the train is pretty comfortable. When you arrive, you’ll be transferred to your cosy beach resort with bags of eco-credentials. The atmosphere is friendly and the beach is only a few footsteps away. Kick off your flip-flops, sink into a sun lounger and look out to turquoise seas.

Free Time & Departure
For the next few days, your time is your own and there’s plenty to explore. Race over the sea of giant sand dunes on a quad bike, slide down the slopes of the Red Dunes on a homemade sled and follow the Fairy Stream to a small waterfall. After an action-filled day, sit back with a fruity cocktail and watch the sun set.

If you prefer something a little gentler, your resort offers some great activities, most of them complimentary. Learn some Vietnamese phrases, take a coffee making class or salute the sun with a relaxing yoga lesson. If this all sounds a bit too much, the inviting pool and a sun lounger are also great choices!

Mui Ne has a great mixture of traditional Vietnamese restaurants, rickety seafood grills and European eateries, so there’s something to suit any kind of craving. There’s also some bustling bars with live music most nights. After breakfast on day 4 you’ll be transferred back to Phan Thiet train station, from where you’ll take the train back to Ho Chi Minh City.
