Overview
There’s nothing more idyllic than a spot of island-hopping and this trip will give you two twists on tropical paradise. It’s six days of barefoot bliss set between two very different islands. The trip begins on Perhentian Besar, a classic castaway island with pure white sand and swaying coconut palms, followed by tiny Lang Tengah. With just three resorts and only a handful of tourists, it’s the real desert island deal.

Perhentian Besar - Arrival and Free Time
First up on the island-hopping agenda is Perhentian Besar. Just thirty minutes from the mainland, it’s a beautiful island with crescent sweeps of pure white sand and gently lapping turquoise waters. In the evening, lamps twinkle along the shore and seafood restaurants set up barbecues on the beach. You’ll stay in a warm, relaxed resort with a stunning stretch of beach on its doorstep.
Perhentian Besar - Pulau Lang Tengah - Merang
After three nights on Perhentian Besar, you’ll hop in a boat over to Pulau Lang Tengah, a tiny, peaceful slice of tropical paradise. With only three resorts and it really is the stuff of desert island dreams. You’ll stay in a bungalow just footsteps from the beach. It’s the perfect place to do absolutely nothing; lie back, feel the sand between your toes and let the sunshine do the rest.
Departure from Lang Tengah
It’s time to say goodbye to your relaxing island retreat today and brush off the sand from you feet and head on to your next destination.
Like the rest of the east coast, monsoons are heavy in this area and the resorts shut down altogether during the rains. The best time to visit is between March and mid October, when the island will be blessed with clear blue skies.
