Reykjavik is the northernmost capital city in the world and offers you a relaxed place to start to your Iceland adventure. There are plenty of boutique cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy, whilst admiring the modern architecture all around you.

Some of Iceland’s most famous landmarks can be found in the Golden Circle, an area of geothermal activity. On this trip you’ll stay overnight in the countryside town of Flúðir to get ahead of the day trippers and see highlights such as the Strokkur geyser and Gullfoss waterfall whilst they are still quiet.

Iceland has one of the most active volcanic landscapes in the world. White peaks on the horizon, impressive lava plains and deep craters set the scene. On this trip, you will visit two of Iceland’s most photogenic waterfalls, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, and if you’re travelling in the winter you’ll hike up the Sólheimajökull glacier. We’ll arrange for you to spend the night in a charming guesthouse that is perfectly located for you to access all the nearby highlights.

In the south of Iceland, float around the country’s most popular lagoon, the Blue Lagoon. Treat yourself to a well-deserved warm bath or massage. It’s a relaxing way to end to your adventurous Iceland road trip. We’ll book you into a comfortable hotel near the airport for a good nights sleep. You’ll come away with lots of wonderful memories and return home well rested.

Strap on the crampons, keep your pickaxe at the ready and enjoy the crunch of ice beneath your feet as you explore the Vatnajökull glacier, Europe’s largest ice cap. Clamber between ice gorges and bright blue caves on this exciting trip to Skaftafell.

On this trip you will step into the rugged Icelandic interior. Travel along dusty gravel roads, right through rivers and barren wasteland. Along the way, see the basalt waterfall at Aldeyjarfoss and the spectacularly coloured mountains of Landmannalaugar.

Travelling in Iceland means seeing a different landscape every few hours. On this trip you won’t be exploring by car or on foot, but on the back of the Icelandic horses. During this module, you will discover the Saudárkrókur region, known for its remote farms and undulating landscapes. We’ll book you into a cosy guesthouse and organise a local guide to give you the full experience.

The paved roads will leave you alone for the next few days, as you turn to the western peninsula of Snaefellsnes. Climb up to the lighthouse at Stykkisholmur, enjoy the view of the fjord and take a walk along the steep coast with its bird cliffs at Hellnar. We’ll book you into a cosy guesthouse and take you horse riding along the coast. In your free time you can take in the daily scenes in the nearby fishing village, where daily fresh catch is brought into the harbour.
