Bahia Beach Break
4-Day Bahia Beach Tour - East Coast, Brazil
Overview
At one point the Amazon jungle covered most of Bahia but these days the area is known for its miles of sandy beaches and an almost African atmosphere. From time to time you'll see a patch of jungle in this area, but mostly the coast is dotted with peaceful pousadas. This is the ideal destinations for a Bahian beach break. Praia das Ondas offers wide windswept sands and a serene atmosphere, yet is close enough to the more bustling Praia do Forte for those who would like to go out in the evenings.

Salvador de Bahia – Praia das Ondas
Today a transfer will take you on the 1 hour drive to Itacimirim from Salvador de Bahia. During beach break you’ll stay at a comfortable pousada with two swimming pools close right on the beach. Once you’ve checked in, you can relax by the pool, have a drink at the bar or chill-out with a good book on the sand which is a short stroll through the garden. Each bungalow has air conditioning and a terrace with a hammock. If you’re in the mood for something a little more active, you can hire a bike and go sightseeing in the area.

Free time
Your time here is free to spend as you wish; relax by the pool with a good book or stroll along the beach. If you would like to explore further, Praia do Forte is just 10 minutes away by taxi. The tourist town has a pedestrian centre lined with trees, souvenir shops and a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants with a pretty seafront to amble along.

Departure
Unfortunately your time in Bahia must come to an end today. Depending on your flight time from Salvador you will be collected from the pousada and transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
