Deep in the heart of Brazil lies the nation’s capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Brasilia. This new and modern capital was built deep in the country's interior 50 years ago and replaced Rio de Janeiro as the nation's capital. Since the entire city needed to be built from scratch, its' architect Oscar Niemeyer had a significant influence on the modern, trendy character of the city.
