Tanzania in February

The weather is still hot and humid in Tanzania in February, with temperatures of around 27C-29C in the national parks. You can expect some rain, but it’s still relatively dry, with lusher landscapes and calving season underway in the southeast Serengeti and thousands of migratory birds arriving.

Often quieter than the other winter months, you’ll find some of the driest weather in the northern parks, and it’s a great month to combine with time at the beach in Zanzibar.

It’s also one of the warmest months for climbing and trekking around Mount Kilimanjaro, with some great clear skies in the morning and evening, although you can expect cooling showers in the afternoon and chilly temperatures overnight.
