Day 1 – Recife – Porto Galinhas
Depending on your travel plans you’ll either be collected from the airport in Recife or at your hotel for the 1.5 hour transfer to Porto Galinhas. After driving for about 15 minutes you’ll leave the city streets behind and drive through rolling green hills covered with sugarcane plants. Porto Galinhas was once a small fishing village, but these days it’s a thriving tourist town popular with Brazilians with shops, bars and restaurants. You’ll stay at a beachfront pousada approximately 2km from town and a hammock will be waiting for you on your balcony or veranda!
Days 2-3 – Porto Galinhas – free time
During your time here you can enjoy Brazil’s sun, sea and sand as you’ll have plenty of time for strolling on the beach, reading in a hammock or swimming in one of the natural lagoons off the coast. Grab a taxi cab into town for dinner or browse the local shops. While in town, you can also hire a dune buggy – either with or without a driver – to explore the surroundings.
Day 4 – Porto Galinhas – Recife
Today you’ll be collected from your pousada and taken back to Recife. Upon your arrival you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation or at the airport, depending on the rest of your travel plans.
