Who are they?
Our local partners in Brazil were founded in 1994 with broad experience of Brazil’s travel market. As part of their mission, they want to stimulate and contribute to the development of tourism throughout Brazil in the most sustainable way possible.
They believe that a growing number of foreign visitors, when received with care and responsibility, will raise awareness and help to preserve Brazil’s cultural heritage and nature, while at the same time improving the living conditions of its people and communities by offering new opportunities and jobs at a fair salary.
Our local partners use organisations that specialise in assessing the sustainable practices of hotels, lodges and other suppliers. Practices that should minimise possible negative effects of tourism, while unlocking and increasing possible benefits at the same time.
In 2015 our partners obtained the Travelife certificate of sustainable tourism for developing an action plan, and have implemented measures that resulted in a reduction of the use of paper, water, electricity, and provide efficient waste-management in the office. Efforts extend to suppliers: local agents, hotels, lodges and others received information from our partners on sustainable practices. This way our partners were able to ensure that most parts of their business are as sustainable as possible.
