Day 1 – Arrival in Victoria Falls

After your international flight, you will arrive on Zimbabwean soil in Victoria Falls, where a local representative will be waiting to greet you. It’s just a short transfer to your accommodation, giving you your first glimpse of life in this corner of Africa. The warm sunshine and cheerful people ensure a warm welcome and the rest of the day is yours to relax and get on African time!

Day 2 – Victoria Falls at sunrise

There’s nothing quite like seeing Victoria Falls at sunrise. As the first light creeps across the sky, the sight, the sound, the smell create a moment that photos can’t really capture. Your guide will lead you along the rainforest pathways, sharing stories about the history of the falls and pointing out the unique plants, birdlife and wildlife that thrive in the spray. On the way, you can stop by the famous Big Tree for a quick photo before continuing to the viewpoints. With the soft morning colours and fewer visitors around, it’s a peaceful and unforgettable way to experience one of the world’s most spectacular waterfalls. Raincoats are provided when needed, and your guide will happily help with photos so you can simply enjoy the moment.

    Day 3 – Sundowner cruise

During your stay, you can take the chance to do one of the many activities: rafting, bungee jumping, or even a sightseeing flight over the falls in a microlight aircraft. In the evening you’ll set off on a Zambezi sunset cruise, which is a really laid-back way to experience the river. As the boat glides downstream, the sky begins to glow making for some truly memorable photos. Keep an eye on the banks as you might have the chance to spot hippos, crocodiles and elephants. It’s a relaxed and easy-going experience, and you’ll be treated to snacks and a selection of drinks as you watch the sun slip below the horizon – bliss!

Day 4&5 – Travel to Kasane and Chobe National Park

Today you’ll make your way to Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. The town sits right on the park’s edge, so don’t be surprised if your wildlife sightings begin early — it’s not unusual to see elephants casually crossing the road as you arrive. After your first night in Kasane, you’ll head out in the morning on safari with an experienced ranger in an open 4×4. Elephants may be the stars of the show here, but they’re surprisingly good at blending in. Along the way, if you’re lucky you’ll also get to spot lions. In the afternoon, you’ll swap wheels for water and head out onto the Chobe River for a different kind of safari. The wildlife tends to gather right at the water’s edge with families of elephants wading in to drink and antelope grazing on the banks. You’ll see larger boats drifting by, but we prefer to keep things small and personal. Travelling in a smaller boat with a small group means you can get closer to the riverbank and enjoy a more intimate view of the wildlife. It’s a really memorable way to experience Chobe from a whole new angle.

Day 6&7 – Fly into the Okavango Delta

From Kasane you will fly in a small plane into the heart of the Okavango Delta and land on Chiefs Island. Your guide will meet you right at the airstrip and will be with you throughout your stay. You’ll be sleeping in spacious dome tents, each set on a raised wooden platform with a private bathroom and traditional bucket shower — all part of the authentic safari experience. The camp keeps things wonderfully simple, with no motorised activities in this pristine part of the Okavango Delta. Instead, during your stay your personal guide will take you out on a mokoro boat to explore the various channels of the Okavango Delta and show you hidden places. Together, you’ll look for animal tracks, watch for game moving through the reeds, and photograph the Delta’s incredible birdlife. Mornings are usually spent out exploring, before heading back to camp during the midday heat to relax. In the cooler afternoon hours, you’ll set off again for another unhurried adventure on the water or on foot.

Day 8 – Fly to Maun for you flight home

This morning you’ll board a small plane for your flight back to Maun, arriving in good time to connect with your journey home to the UK. As you take off over the Delta, you’ll have one last bird’s-eye view of the landscapes you’ve been exploring and head home with a camera full of photos and plenty of unforgettable memories.
